Your self‑published book, typeset like it came from a publishing house.
We are a publishing house, and we design your book’s interior the way we design our own: print-ready files for Amazon KDP and IngramSpark, plus an eBook.
The House on Elm Street
The summer my grandfather died, the house on Elm Street went quiet for the first time in forty years. Nobody wanted to say it out loud, but we all knew the piano would be the first thing to go.
My mother spent the mornings in the kitchen, sorting letters into shoeboxes she had labeled in pencil. I spent them on the porch, pretending to read.
It was there, on the third morning, that I found the key taped beneath the swing.

Every self-published book has to answer three questions.
Does your book look professionally published?
Uneven spacing, a word-processor font, and chapters that start anywhere tell a reader the book was not professionally produced.
Is it comfortable to read?
Line length, leading, margins, and hyphenation decide whether a reader finishes chapter one or puts the book down.
Will your files pass KDP and IngramSpark?
A wrong trim size (the page dimensions of your book), missing bleed (extra space for images that run to the edge of the page), and fonts not embedded in the PDF are the most common reasons a file is rejected at upload.
We answer all three for every book we publish. Here is how we answer them for yours.
Industry-standard files, ready to upload.
You send a finished, edited manuscript. We return a complete interior, designed page by page, in the formats self-publishing platforms require.
Editing and proofreading are not included. We typeset the text you approve; if you change it after layout begins, we will tell you before charging for any extra time.

Four starting points. One interior made for your book.
You choose a style after ordering, and we adapt it to your genre, trim size, and chapter structure.
Classic
Garamond text and centered chapter heads. For literary fiction, memoir, and history.
Elegant
Refined display type and generous white space. For poetry, romance, and gift books.
Modern
A clean sans-serif hierarchy. For business, self-help, and practical nonfiction.
Technical
Equations, tables, and numbered sections. For textbooks and academic or technical titles.
Equations, tables, and footnotes, set the way a scientific publisher sets them.
We typeset in LaTeX, the system academic and scientific publishers use. The books that word processors struggle with are the ones we handle best.

A publishing house, not a freelancer marketplace.
Editorial Bambú is an independent publisher and print shop in Puebla, Mexico. We edit, typeset, and print books every week.
Your book, for Spanish-speaking readers too.
Spanish is our native language. Once your interior is ready, we can translate your book into Spanish, edit the translation, and set it in the same design, so both editions read as one work.
Before you order.
What is included in the price?
The complete interior of your book: every text page, the front and back matter, a print-ready PDF, an EPUB file, and two review rounds. The Standard price covers up to 300 typeset pages in black and white.
Do you edit or proofread the text?
No. We typeset the manuscript you send, so it should be final and edited. If you need editing, ask us for a quote before you order.
Which file should I send?
A Word or Google Docs file works best. We also accept PDF and LaTeX. Send images as separate files at their original resolution.
Will the files work on Amazon KDP and IngramSpark?
Yes. We set the trim size, margins, and fonts to each platform’s specifications and check the files before delivery.
How long does it take?
Delivery takes 10 business days from the moment you upload your manuscript and choose a style. Rush delivery in 5 business days is available for an additional 30%.
What if I want changes after the review rounds?
Each additional review round costs $50. Changes to the text itself after layout has started may take more time; we will tell you before any extra cost applies.
Do you design covers?
Yes. Before you pay, you can add a cover designed to match your interior for $199. It includes the full print cover (front, spine, and back) and the eBook cover, with two review rounds. We finish the spine once your interior is approved, because its width depends on the final page count. If you want an illustrated cover with original artwork, it starts at $499 and is quoted per project.
Give your book the interior it deserves.
